Brown Shoe to Webcast its First Quarter 2005 Results Conference Call and Annual Shareholders’ Meeting

ST. LOUIS, May 18, 2005 – Brown Shoe Company, Inc. (NYSE:BWS), today announced that it will hold a conference call to discuss its first quarter financial results on Wednesday, May 25 at 4:00 p.m. Central / 5:00 p.m. Eastern time. The Company plans to issue its first quarter earnings results after the market closes that day.
